Hi Penny lawton,

Both (mai1 baat3) and (mai5 baat3) are OK to use. (mai1 baat3) actually sounds more colloquial and (mai5 baat3) is a more formal way to say it. :smile:

mai baat I am sure mai in this sentence should be tone 1 as stated ?However I thought mai was a low rising tone as in the word mai dat meaning meter. lo taai
