Hi Emma,

I can't say there is a necessary sense of thunder when we speak of any storm. Technically, a storm (風暴 [fung1 bou6]) is applicable whether there's thunder or not. A thunderstorm is 雷暴 [leoi4 bou6].

Hello Emma,

Cloudy in Cantonese should be 陰天(jam1 tin1). Literally means "overcast sky". ?
