Today we’re going to talk about the weather 天氣, weather.
1. 落雨 rainy
今日落雨，好麻煩。 It's raining today and it's very annoying.
2. 晴天 sunny
我鍾意晴天。 I like it when it's sunny.
3. 颱風 typhoon / hurricane
In Asia we have a lot of typhoons in the summer, especially in July and August.
今年有十五個颱風嚟咗香港。 Fifteen typhoons came to Hong Kong this year.
Well, I made it up, I hope that’s not true, that’s a bit too much.
4. 閃電 lightening
閃 is “to flash”, and 電 is “electricity”
我隻狗好驚閃電。 My dog is afraid of the lightening.
5. 彩虹 Rainbow
彩虹有七隻顏色。 Rainbow has seven colors.
Can you name them all in Cantonese?
紅，橙，黃，綠，青，藍，紫, seven colors.
