| Siuling: Not really. Business lunches are usually pretty relaxed. |
| John: What kind of things are spoken about? |
| Siuling: People usually exchange small talk. As a foreigner, it’s likely you’ll be asked about your experiences in your home country. |
| John: Are there any experiences that are best avoided? |
| Siuling: I would say to avoid death, poverty, or failure. |
| John: Right, some Hong Kong Chinese people might still be pretty superstitious, and those are bad topics. |
