花樣年華
王家衛已經成為一個符號，而唔係一個導演咁俾人提起。《花樣年華》亦都擁有同樣嘅地位，或者話，命運。俾人符號化總係一件好悲劇嘅事，喺我睇嚟，成為符號必然意味著人人都可以對呢部電影講返幾句，基本都唔會差得去邊。傾起呢部片，可以感歎年華似水，亦都可以懷念所謂熾熱又無聲嘅感情；可以評論鏡頭入面嘅畫面結構，更加可以聯繫佢嘅續集《2046》嚟剖析劇情綜合思慮細節，但係呢啲都唔係我睇到嘅重點，我只係覺得《花樣年華》係一部拍嚟俾人發白日夢嘅電影。暗香浮動嘅畫面可以令人望穿屏幕，望到打咗濾鏡嘅尋日同過去；婀娜嘅身影可以用嚟回憶路途上嘅路標，任你逆流而上；迷離嘅眼神係一種提醒，提醒人唔好忘記唏噓。一句話講晒，只要你坐低，睇住張曼玉同梁朝偉拿捏得非常精準嘅表演所喚起嘅舊時代風情，點起一支煙，部戲播到邊就都係任憑山水嘅事喇。

I'll answer your two questions here. 😁

1. Yes. I admit that 返 [faan1] is counter-intuitive. When we use it behind a verb, it gives a feeling of "redemption", "doing something that you haven't done when you should have" and "doing the action in an easy-going atmosphere". The sentence works perfectly fine and equivalent even without the word 返.

2. Yes and no. It's a correct pronunciation but nobody speaks it in real life. We only pronounce 著 [zoek3] when we recite a poem or textbook, we say 著 [zyu6] all the time.

Could you tell me what 返 means in the sentence "人人都可以對呢部電影講返幾句"? I understand when 返 basically means 回 as in 返去, but it doesn't seem to mean that in this sentence and I see 返 used often in ways I don't understand.

Regarding pronunciation of 結構, both /git3 kau3/ and /git3 gau3/ are correct. We're sorry for the confusion!

FYI, other than 構, 購 also has the same pronunciation variation, it can be /gau3/ or /kau3/.

Hi! I have a minor point about the review track. It has the sentence about Louis Vuitton in English and 'to sigh' & 'tragedy' are missing and 'daydream' & 'graceful' are there twice. I have found the missing pronunciations in the lesson materials section.

Also, in the second paragraph of the dialog, 結構 seems to be pronounced as gau3 but is written as kau3 in the jyutping text. I believe kau3 is correct? Thanks

In Cantonese there're many words that do not exist in Chinese (Mandarin) dialect, so using the correct encoding is critical.
